From the Capcom Europe headquarters and in coordination with all countries, we launched a disruptive viral campaign in the sector, called Inserted Evil, to promote the video game Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.
Objective:
Impress players before the video game launches.
Solution:
A campaign that is viral, creative, exciting and original, completely aligned with the plot of the video game that we wanted to promote.
The campaign:
A person by the name of Ian Sider (a pseudonym) has just opened an anti-Umbrella site and offers us to help him to expose the truth about this dubious company. To do this, the users had to register on the site and solve a few puzzles so that this person will then send evidence.
This evidence will be in the form of files coming directly from Umbrella itself or, according to him, real objects that can be used to fight against the latter. The stranger left a video on his site to motivate the troops.
